The Public Relations Society of America Central Chesapeake Chapter is hosting a Public Affairs Summit of leading government communication professionals working at all levels of regional politics including:

  • Jeremy Baker: Senior Advisor for Maryland House Speaker,Michael Busch

  • Hannah Marr: Press Secretary for Maryland Governor, Larry Hogan

  • Owen McEvoy: Communications/Public Information Officer for Anne Arundel County Executive, Steve Schuh

  • Rhonda Wardlaw: Chief Communications Officer for Annapolis Mayor, Michael Pantiledes

  • Tim Zink: Press Secretary for United States Senator, Ben Cardin

Politicians are in the limelight on a regular basis. The responsibility of holding an elected office begets a high level of examination in the press on a variety of issues. Learn public relations strategies and techniques from leading city, county, state, and federal government agencies actively utilizing the latest in communication channels to enhance citizen engagement, support legislative initiatives, and build constituent involvement with various events and initiatives. Panelists will also share their insights on the state of public relations within our regional political arena.
