Results from the 2016 Mid-Year Survey!

On Wednesday May 18, the PRSA Central Chesapeake Board of Directors sent out a survey via email to Chapter members and event attendees. The purpose of this survey was to understand what we were doing right and what we can improve on in regards to our program offerings. We’ve received great responses from the survey and wanted to share what we learned and how we will be using this information in the future.

We discovered that you enjoy the topics and presentations that we have offered so far in 2016 with about 25% of the people who attended each event rated it as excellent. Two of our four program topics covered digital and social media which seem to be popular subjects for our attendees. When asked what topics you would like to see us cover in the future, many responded saying digital and social media.

In regards to the timing of our programs, which traditionally takes place every third Thursday of the month from noon to 1:30pm, 94% of you responded that the days and dates have worked well for you or you are able to make most of the meetings that interest you. However, we are looking to do at least one morning program (8 – 9:30am) in the fall since 69% of you were interested. We may also switch up the day of the week as 64% of you stated Wednesdays or Thursdays work best for you.

Although we will be looking into a different venue for some of our future programs we are happy to know that 93% of survey takers voted Union Jack’s of Annapolis as fair, good or excellent. Still, we’ve heard your complaints in regards to the food offerings and will be changing the menu for our upcoming June 23 program and beyond!

Here are some other things we will be doing now as a result of your participation in the survey:

  • We’ve added PRSA national webinars to our Calendar of Events and will send out email notifications a week before as a reminder.
  • Creating a newsletter that will go out regularly to better communicate chapter events and news.
  • We will continue to maintain our relationship with the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce to better your networking opportunities.

If you didn’t get the chance to fill out the survey don’t worry! You can always let the Chesapeake Chapter Board of Directors know how we’re doing by sending us an email to [email protected]. Thank you!
