Senior communications leaders will gather at the National Press Club on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. to discuss one of the most one of most critical issues facing the communications industry today.

Beyond Fake News: The Role and Responsibility of Communications Professionals to Guide Public Conversations will be hosted by the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, as part of the organization’s Thought Leadership program.

 “There is no better time than now to speak out about our role in shaping the public dialogue,” said panel moderator Mitch Marovitz, APR, Fellow PRSA and past PRSA-NCC president. “I am looking forward to a rich conversation with these outstanding communications industry leaders. The agenda will provide an excellent opportunity for all communications professionals to share best practices and ideas geared to excelling in our business and serving our audiences.”
